Job Description


This position is primarily responsible for applying member’s payments in the cash application process, researching and resolving all payment discrepancies. 



  • Post and apply multiple deposits for member payments such as lockbox, ACH and credit cards
  • Post and apply SSA payments
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Research and resolve unapplied cash payments and communicate to Billing Department
  • Balance cash to general ledger
  • Verify all transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing
  • Generate documentation for refund checks
  • Research NSF items and communicate to Billing Department
  • Research credit card disputed items and communicate to Billing Department
  • Make corporate deposits daily



  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, Finance or Accounting


  • Ability to thrive in high volume fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within Accounting
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers as a team member
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Self motivated, detail-oriented individual who strives to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
  • Great level of accuracy and confidentiality


  • 3 – 5 years cash application experience and/or cash reconciliation experience


  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
