Job Description


The Vendor Oversight Project Lead is a position that works collaboratively as a project leader and project participant on interdisciplinary teams within organization initiatives.  This role is responsible for developing and maintaining communication among project teams and departmental leadership to facilitate effective project execution, documentation, and issue resolution.


  • This position requires the ability to work within project teams on both a support and leadership level and to be able to display knowledge of project management principles and apply them to all initiatives. 
  • Leads and supports vendor implementation initiatives by coordinating elements of the project administration process including: project schedules, communication plans, subgroup meetings and status updates.
  • Partner with operational areas to provide structure and organization to projects.
  • Ensures programs and business processes meet necessary requirements and are accurately captured in Process Maps and SOPs.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage project management methodologies to drive initiatives for successful completion.   
  • Constructs and maintains project related documentation: execution maps, process flows, project schedules, excel spreadsheets and other documentation needed to support projects
  • Attends meetings, compiles and publishes meeting minutes along with deliverables and other requirements. 
  • Facilitate communications among project team members
  • Demonstrates ability to work on cross-functional teams on multiple projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree required, project management experience replacement acceptable 
  • Project Management Professional Certification preferred


  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office tools; MS Project and MS OneNote strongly recommended
  • Ability to lead meetings in front of large groups
  • Handles difficult situations diplomatically and understands to escalate when necessary
  • Ability to build strong relationships within and outside the health plan.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills. 


  •  A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Computer skills required (Microsoft Office).


  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
