Job Description


This position is responsible for performing administrative duties that support the sales efforts for Virginia Premier’s Medicare Advantage products. Accountabilities include supporting the agent onboarding process, participating in and coordinating public-facing sales and outreach activities, and providing support to field and call center agents as needed.


  • Assists in the alignment of sales activities with corporate annual targets.
  • Coordinates sales seminar scheduling and prospective member attendance.
  • With the assistance of leadership, coordinates the agent onboarding process and documentation requirements for CMS and the state regulatory agency.
  • Research, analyze and monitor market activity as it pertains to sales and marketing activities and trends.
  • Represents Virginia Premier externally by participating in community activities as well as training engagements in the agent community.
  • Coordinates and Monitors sales agent appointment and onboarding process.
  • Serves as a point of contact for general and product-related agent questions.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards of conduct.
  • Keeps current with changing government regulations as it relates to Medicare.
  • Assumes other adhoc responsibilities as directed.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.


  • Experience in new business sales efforts.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain license to sell insurance in the state of Virginia within 1 year of employment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Prior experience in managed care.
  • Experience with Medicare marketing and sales regulations
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills with an acute ability to listen attentively and to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to plan and organize self, others and work in order to achieve objectives and targets. Determined to deliver outcomes and is able to overcome obstacles in order to move forward.
  • Ability to manage and be responsible for shifting business priorities, demands and timelines.


  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare industry, insurance sales, and marketing


  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
