  • Overview

    The Digital Business Systems Analyst II position is responsible for supporting the company’s online web portals for its members and providers. This position will be responsible for vendor management and will lead the implementation of new portals and new portal features.  The Digital BSA is a member of the Web Technologies team, which supports SharePoint, SQL Reporting Services, Project Server, and Virginia Premier’s websites and web portals.  This position may assist with the support of any of the technologies managed by the team.


    • Support of our online web portals used by members, providers and other outside vendors
    • Vendor relationship management - maintain relationships with 3rd party vendor’s technical support
    • Serve as a project lead on portal and web projects
    • Work closely with the business to develop business and functional requirements for web and web portal projects
    • Effectively facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with end users, perform gap analysis: as is vs. to be, collect, analyze and document existing and new business requirements, translate business requirements into a solution design (functional and technical requirements documents).
    • Work closely with developers, vendors and end users to ensure technical compatibility and end user satisfaction.
    • Implement, configure, test and provide post implementation support of web portals
    • Conduct end-to-end business process analysis and identify and implement improvements
    • Coordinate testing and assist users with building test cases
    • Document and flow chart key processes
    • Other duties as assigned




    • BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or commensurate experience in lieu of degree


    • Experience supporting web portals
    • Experience supporting mobile applications is a plus
    • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Experience in supporting end-users in a corporate environment
    • Experience with single sign-on (SSO), such as SAML 2.0, is a plus
    • Experience with web servers, such as Microsoft IIS and Apache
    • Experience working with Project Management software
    • Knowledgeable of web services
    • Demonstrated knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
    • Knowledgeable of Microsoft SQL, SSIS, SSRS
    • Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation.
    • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Familiarity with key managed care functions including claims, enrollment, and Medical Management is a plus



    • Minimum of 5 years working in Information Systems
    • Minimum of 3 years working with web technologies
    • Minimum of 2 years working with web portals
    • Experience leading projects



    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
