  • Overview

    Reporting to the Manager of IT Projects, the Project Analyst II is responsible for directing and managing IT projects within the ISOM department. This position requires a strong self-starter who can proactively engage cross functional teams with minimal formal direction. Will assist level 3 Project Analysts on large and complex projects. The Project Analyst II will manage projects from concept through implementation including initiation, requirements, design, build, test, and support. Including coordinating resources (staff, equipment, vendors, & consultants) across one or more projects, monitoring project progress, work with ISOM leadership to adjust resources and priorities, prepare and present progress reports for management, collecting, documenting and archiving all project artifacts.

    Responsibilities

    • Able to understand and utilize various project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) to manage projects effectively and efficiently
    • Able to take direction and support a variety of IT projects
    • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
    • Responsible for defining key project activities and deliverables, managing timelines, ensuring project is within schedule and resources are available to achieve project objectives
    • Implements and leads effective change management activities
    • Identifies potential impact of project risk events and communicates mitigation options to Manager and Stakeholders
    • Generate project metrics/reports
    • Assist with developing project management templates
    • Facilitates presentation of ideas, recommendations, and projects to Manager and ISOM Leadership
    • Contributes to establishing and maintaining the processes and standards of technology project management based on best practices.
    • Lead project lessons learned sessions with project members

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Possess a 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field AND minimum of 3 years’ experience... OR 7 years of equivalent work experience in a Project Coordinator/Manager role

    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR SKILLS

    • Three years of experience managing small or large information systems/technology
    • Experienced with the Systems Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) framework
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
    • Efficient with using MS Office, Project, and SharePoint
    • Experience in using MS Project Server and Project Point
    • Requirements gathering experience
    • Must be detail oriented, able to work independently on multiple projects
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to set priorities to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
    • Excellent organizational, and customer service skills
    • IT experience a must
    • Healthcare experience is a plus

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
