Reporting to the Director of Information Systems & IT Projects, the IT Business Advocate will serve as a liaison, advocate and subject matter expert for assigned program(s) representing ISOM. Responsible for establishing, building and maintaining sustainable relationships. Ensures appropriate program communication, focus and control of priorities by coordinating with the Program Leadership and organization at strategic, tactical and operational levels. Works with program customers to identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, improved efficiency and business challenges.


  • Establish, build and maintain sustainable program relationships
  • Serve as a liaison between ISOM and leadership for assigned program(s)
  • Serve as point of contact for assigned program(s) primary business level
  • Ensures the design and integration of proposed system, software and hardware solutions lead to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, improved efficiency and business challenges
  • Assist ISOM Managers in the day-to-day operations of the department as it relates to the assigned program(s)
  • Analyzes and interprets reports and recommending actions to reconcile to targets
  • Runs steering reports and meetings with ISOM Executive leadership and Program Leadership
  • Ensure program business objectives for all work efforts are met by monitoring resources to meet goals and proactively working on issues
  • Keep ISOM technology and system owners aware of user issues and help resolve any resulting conflicts
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance operations through automation or through the deployment of various ISOM products and services
  • Reviews reports and identifies trends in issues impacting program satisfaction
  • Works with other parts of the organization to identify root cause and recommend process and procedural changes to improve service



  • Bachelor of Science degree and minimum of 5 years’ experience OR 9 years of equivalent working experience


  • Healthcare experience working with Medicaid or Medicare programs
  • Experience in client relationship management and process/program improvement
  • Exceptional communication (oral and written) skills with assertive, yet customer-focused style
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, and the ability to communicate and interact with all management levels and peers
  • Strong understanding of information systems, business processes and the key drivers and measures of success for the program unit and the organization
  • Understanding/knowledge of technological trends used to bring solutions to business units
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking with strong abilities in client management and relationship building/management, along with a service attitude
  • Strategic planning experience
  • Strong research, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Project management experience and understanding of various methodologies (waterfall, agile, scrum)
  • Demonstrated competency in management of resources to meet objectives
  • Ability to negotiate terms and scope of work documents
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Detail oriented, able to work independently on multiple priorities
  • Well organized, proficient with time management, and tactful in setting priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prepare and present formal presentations
  • Budget management experience a plus


  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
