 As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, the Sourcing Specialist will build and execute targeted sourcing plans for critical openings and pipelines, as well as execute selected recruitment assignments as needed. The primary focus of this position is to create and maintain relationships with high performing, active/passive talent through various media and non-media tools and avenues.  This person will aid in the responsibility of achieving staffing objectives, by creatively sourcing and evaluating candidates in line with required skills/qualifications. The Sourcing Specialist will manage the first stage of the Talent Acquisition recruiting process. This role will utilize various channels to look for potential candidates, contact passive candidates and build talent pipelines for future hiring needs. Ultimately, this role will proactively identify the company’s hiring needs and assist the Talent Acquisition Partners with filling these roles with qualified employees.


  • Develops and executes sourcing strategies in support of the recruitment team to generate candidate flow to meet overall talent acquisition goals as well as pipelines for upcoming searches. 
  • Conducts extensive sourcing of passive candidates through research, relationship building, complex internet searches, and talent pool database searching 
  • Documents and catalogs potential candidates for open searches and proactively builds pipelines of talent for future needs through cold calling/e-mailing, professional networking, resume mining, social media, etc.
  • Builds and manages the Candidate Relationship database and generates reports as needed
  • Provides ongoing feedback to recruiters on talent trends.
  • Monitors trends and developments in sourcing tools and technologies and utilizes social media for sourcing and other marketing forums to drive traffic to our open opportunities 
  • Attends meetings with recruiters when necessary to gain a better understanding of required talent pool and provide insight as needed.
  • Meet with recruiting staff on a regular basis to collaborate on optimum approaches to strengthen candidate pool.
  • Manages/updates candidates in various systems - applicant tracking system, databases, etc. and provides weekly activity reports.
  • Qualifies, screens, and interviews prospective candidates.
  • Stays current on sourcing best practices/trends.
  • Posts/manages postings on various job boards, social media, etc.
  • Assists with TA department projects as assigned.



  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of college coursework and recruiting experience


  • Knowledge of current recruitment practices including, but not limited to: various websites, employment agencies, schools, technical training institutions, etc.
  • Knowledge of local job market, search strategies and talent acquisition strategies
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing proactive sourcing strategies
  • Knowledgeable in utilizing innovative sourcing strategies to attract top candidates to fill current positions and build a pipeline for future openings
  • Experience with OFCCP Compliance
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communications skills
  • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Have the ability to learn company specific applications
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
  • Highly knowledgeable with recruiting software
  • Clear understanding of employment law and compliance 


  • 3 years experience as sourcing specialist, sourcer or similar role
  • Experience in high growth, fast paced environment
  • 3 years proven experience recruiting at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience and success in filling hard to fill roles
  • Advanced research and sourcing skills, with minimal reliance on job postings – including the use of Boolean search techniques, extensive networking, LinkedIn, user group lists, industry-specific online professional networks, forums and social media.
  • Highly adept at proactive methods/processes for finding and attracting passive talent for crucial openings and talent pools.


  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
