  • Overview

    The Senior Manager of Systems Development is responsible for the management of the QNXT Development Teams, which consist of a Production Support Team, Benefit Administration Team, and an Implementation and System Maintenance Team. The core function of the System Development Teams are to provide high-level design, development, implementation, and support services for the QNXT Platform and related 3rd party applications.


    • Collect applicable business requirements from Operations and put them into an actionable business plan
    • Ensure detailed business requirements documentation is developed to aid in system design
    • Facilitate the Development of System Integration (SI) documentation for custom development
    • Oversee teams responsible for the implementation of key System Configuration Documentation
    • Provide QNXT Configuration guidance to keep implementation and production support actions consistent with a single configuration philosophy
    • Implementing and maintaining an ITIL framework based production support model
    • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings
    • Manage Project Plans and project management resources to ensure deadlines are met
    • Oversee the creation of process maps, system architectural diagrams and work flows
    • Gather reporting requirements and create an implementation plan
    • Provide executive level status updates
    • Develop appropriate controls for critical processes with all impacted systems
    • Ensure all technical questions/issues are resolved and quality assurance guidelines are met
    • Ensure that established processes/procedures are followed as designed
    • Hire, train and develop staff effectively and take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy
    • Meet with operational leadership in regards to outcomes related to service level agreements
    • Interface with business application owners and end users to ensure project status and other relevant information has been communicated to appropriate personnel
    • Must be available to work evenings / weekends during server upgrade and system maintenance periods
    • Recommend and obtain approval for appropriate solution(s) for implementation
    • Adhere to change management policies to minimize the impact of changes
    • Coordinate with other IT staff to consistently implement cross platform / application solutions
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation of software, policies, and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field required.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing and supporting QNXT


    • Ability to plan, test, implement, and troubleshoot system software
    • Experience in supporting end-users in a corporate environment and excellent communication/teamwork skills
    • Experience with Project Management software
    • Familiarity with key Medicare and Medicaid managed care functions including claims, enrollment, and Medical Management
    • Familiarity with ITIL standards
    • Knowledge and understanding of Protected Health Information (PHI)
    • Knowledge of hardware integration and configuration and network connectivity.
    • Knowledge of health care related information systems and experience with high level programming is preferred in order to understand the effect a new implementation will have throughout all related systems
    • Previous Systems Management experience
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Proficient knowledge of SSIS and SQL
    • Strong documentation management and process flow experience
    • Strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills beneficial
    • Understanding of Health Care Industry
    • Experience with Vendor Management


    • Minimum of 5 years working in QNXT
    • Experience managing a team supporting several applications
    • Progressively-responsible experience in Configuration and Testing
    • At least three years of management or supervisory experience in an information technology and systems or Health Care Systems Configuration environment


    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
