  • Overview

    The Manager of Systems Development is responsible for the management of the System Development Team, which consists of Member and Provider Configuration Analysts.  The core function of the System Development Team is to provide high-level design, development and implementation services for the QNXT and related 3rd party applications and provide system support during times of system upgrades and implementation of hot fixes.


    • Develop detailed business requirements documentation (BRD) to aid in system design
    • Collect applicable business requirements from Operations and put them into an actionable business plan
    • Assist operations in the development of SI documentation required for all custom development
    • Create and oversee implementation of key system configuration documentation
    • Work with IT Support staff to integrate with Third Party Applications
    • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings
    • Partner with project management resources in the creation and management of project plans related to all QNXT system activities  
    • Oversee the creation of process maps, system architectural diagrams and work flows
    • Gather reporting requirements and create an implementation strategy
    • Provide executive level status updates
    • Manage all Statements of Work (SOWs) or other consulting agreements including reconciliation of invoices
    • Define documentation, coding, quality control and testing standards for all SI activities
    • Partner with appropriate personnel on all SI development and deployment activities
    • Manage employee time, conduct performance appraisals, coach and encourage employees to achieve top performance
    • Train or retrain staff as required



    • BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or commensurate experience in lieu of degree


    • In depth understanding of system development lifecycle and principles
    • Project management experience
    • Strong technical documentation skills
    • Ability to present ideas in a non-technical nature
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Strong customer service drive and orientation
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Two to three years of supervising staff experience required
    • Billing and coding experience preferred
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Development Tool Set a plus 


    • Minimum of 5 years working in an Information Systems environment
    • Minimum of 2 years management experience
    • Experience in Trizetto QNXT Configuration and Data Model preferred


    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
