Job Description


This position is primarily responsible for implementation and post-implementation coordination of program activities of EDCD vendor – PPL for Medicaid Managed Long Term Services and Support (MLTSS). This entails coordinating Finance, Reporting, and Analytics program implementation activities. The position requires expertise in the analysis of disparate data sources and development of data presentations to multiple operational areas within the company.  Additionally, the position leads coordination activities with internal and external stakeholders including DMAS and PPL.


This position is responsible for developing an extensive expertise in the Medicaid MLTSS program area, specifically in Elderly Disabled and Consumer Directed (EDCD) management and EDCD vendor relationship. The Coordinator will interface with PPL to develop extracts, facilitate transmission of extracts to vendors, and coordinate analysis for the program. 



  • Responsible for coordinating all Consumer Directed program activities between VA Premier, DMAS, PPL, and other MCOs
  • Communicating all PPL issues and working with impacted VA Premier departments to resolve
  • Escalating member issues and coordinating responses to member, PPL, DMAS, or other MCOs escalations
  • Communicating process changes/updates to all parties
  • Addressing miscellaneous/ad hoc questions for PPL from ISOM, Medical Management, Program
  • Tracking Member issues, researching and identifying root cause, instructing other departments how to resolve, following up to ensure resolution
  • Monitoring vendor performance on Monthly Report Card
  • Coordinating with other MCO’s to ensure accurate member coverage in vendor portal
  • Monitoring file submissions and resolution of internal and external error files
  • Planning and defining project deliverables during implementation and post implementation
  • Facilitating meetings with vendor, communicate all VPHP questions/issues, maintain Agenda
  • Maintaining Agenda for DMAS meetings to discuss PPL issues
  • Ensuring completion and receipt of all reporting to and from DMAS and PPL as related to PPL
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by MLTSS Program Manager



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Administration, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field


  • Proven ability to analyze data
  • Demonstrated experience in developing data analysis and presenting data
  • Experience in use of information system resources
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and in a very dynamic environment
  • Have a high degree of initiative, motivation and passion for the business

  • Required: Minimum 3+ years of experience in data analysis and/or report development
  • Preferred: Minimum 3+ years of experience in healthcare (preferably Medicaid), business analysis or application development/implementation
  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing


  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
