The Systems Analyst II performs moderate to complex configuration activities within QNXT and is responsible for developing an extensive expertise in the QNXT Administration and Configuration portals and the third party applications supporting the system.  This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining assigned member facing QNXT components for the program and plays a key role in the configuration and support of existing and new lines of business.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to the maintenance of QNXT Medical codes, finance codes, system configuration for benefit plans, organizational and medical policies,  benefit application analysis, contracts, CES testing and documentation.

In addition a Systems Analyst II may be the primary contact for one or more QNXT system interface applications and is expected to provide a high level of expertise with matters relating to this interface and its functionality.



  • Understand business goals and translate them into configuration requirements
  • The ability to perform data analysis and draw business conclusion for decision making
  • Identify key components of a project and evaluate the impact across the organization
  • Understanding all aspects of program operations, including policies and procedures, program guidelines, file layouts and requirements, general rules and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in the use of configuration standards
  • Maintain and support claims as assigned, including stand-alone software systems and QNXT functionality
  • Creates complex design documents through the assessment of requirements; assesses alternatives to different designs and chooses bets best solution to fit business needs
  • Recommend improvements and assess the work of other team members
  • Work in cooperation with other company analysts and staff to accomplish business objectives
  • Create, understand and articulate data regarding program operations
  • Assist QDT in other activities as directed 



  • Bachelors Degree preferred, especially in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related technical field


  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong knowledge of software implementation / development life cycle
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Excellent communications/teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of TriZetto products and applications helpful
  • Knowledge of 837 and 835 record layouts is helpful
  • Proven ability to analyze data and processes
  • Experience with developing process flow charts or similar diagrams
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities


  • 2+ years business experience possibly including Claims or Healthcare related experience (preferably Medicare Managed Care) preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in Information Systems (system configuration, SQL/Oracle platforms) preferred
  • 1+ year experience writing TSQL or SQL queries preferred
  • 1+ years MS SQL server experience including:  SQL Server Reporting Services 2005/2008, SQL Server Integration Services 2005/2008 preferred


  • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
