  • Overview

    The Clinical Applications Systems Analyst I position provides support of clinical software applications for the Virginia Premier Health Plan Medical Management Department. The position will assist with design, development, testing and implementation of Clinical Applications assuring alignment with the organization’s strategic vision and plans. Functions include but are not limited to; acting as a technical liaison between the IT department and the Medical Management staff for hardware and software related issues; maintaining Change Gear tickets; providing end user support and education; application building and implementation to include communications and meetings; software releases and testing; assisting with data collection and analysis; creating spreadsheets, reports and dashboards



    • Assist in software implementation, design and testing
    • Provide end user support and education
    • Act as a liaison between Medical Management and IS
    • Track and address software issues using Change Gear
    • Collect data, perform analysis and create reports
    • Work on teams attending meetings and providing communication for projects



    • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Business, Mathematics, or Information Systems.


    • Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve problems
    • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
    • Strong written and communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Experience with computers and technology
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively prioritize
    • Ability to analyze data and create spreadsheets, reports and queries
    • Solid understand of workflow processes and improvement techniques
    • Understanding of a variety of Clinical Applications


    • Minimum 1 – 2 years of IT experience as a Business/Systems Analyst


    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
