    This position is responsible for developing instructional materials and employee communications that support company initiatives and objectives, and that facilitate improved employee job performance.



    • Designs and develops classroom courses and web-based courses that support the business strategy and meet the learning and development needs of the business areas.
    • Maintains advanced knowledge of features and functionality of course authoring tools.
    • Collaborates with instructional designers, business units, and area experts to determine course content and appropriate method of delivery.
    • Collaborates with subject matter experts and conducts other research to develop instructional content.
    • Applies adult learning principles and best practices, and adapts instructional content or delivery methods for different levels or types of learners.
    • Develops and disseminates effective communications related to operational initiatives, general organizational announcements, and communications that support the employer of choice culture.
    • Evaluates training materials prepared by subject matter experts, such as outlines, presentations, handbooks or handouts and ensure quality and effectiveness of all training materials.
    • Monitors and evaluations training activities for program effectiveness. Develops alternative training methods.
    • Conducts needs assessments to develop the basis for curriculum development or to update curricula. Assesses training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
    • Create infographics for communications and or training materials using digital platforms as necessary.
    • Participate in developing standards and best practices for content creation and sharing.
    • Work simultaneously on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
    • Produce, edit and publish video packages to multiple channels.
    • Modifies and retouches photos for print and digital production.
    • Maintains brand integrity and understand appropriate logo use and works closely with the Marketing Department.
    • Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
    • Ability to create eLearning courses explaining specific functionality of software using small video snippets.
    • Travel as necessary.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.



    • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, instructional design, or a related field
    • Masters Degree in a related field preferred


    • Hands-on experience using eLearning development software, Adobe Captivate and Articulate 360 preferred.
    • Hands-on experience using video recording and editing software such as Adobe Premier or Camtasia preferred.
    • Strong graphics background with experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, and Premier) preferred.
    • Proficiency in CSS and HTML preferred.
    • Technical Writing, Teaching/Training, performance measuring, multimedia, curriculum and course development.
    • Knowledge of project management preferred.
    • Knowledge of current human resources, training, and organizational development trends.
    • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and human resources.
    • Solid PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Experience with SharePoint Preferred.


    • 3-6 years of related experience in content development
    • 1-2 years of related Instructional design experience


    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
