    Overview

    Under the direction/supervision of the Manager, Clinical Applications, the Clinical Support Analyst III is responsible for participating in the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical applications to improve the workflow and processes of care management; collaborating with internal teams to develop outcomes, identifying gaps in care, develop measures for clinical processes; and integrating information from clinical processes to improve performance analytics.

    Responsibilities

    • Review data analysis of productivity measures for CM, SW and PCC
    • Explore strategies to improve end-user adoption of tools and applications
    • Analyze clinical work flows and suggest improvements
    • Integrate clinical and information processes
    • Provide training to staff in use of new tools
    • Super user for clinical systems
    • Present clinical data to identify, quantify and resolve issues related to member care
    • Evaluate system applications and troubleshoot issues
    • Assist with process improvements
    • Participate in special projects as requested by management
    • Act as liaison between Medical Management and Regulatory Reporting
    • Assist with development of tools to enhance clinical operations and streamline processes
    • Support reporting functions as outlined in state and federal contracts
    • Assist with issues resolution of system/applications used by MM
    • Participate in system-improvement initiatives with Clinical Applications team
    • Assist with quality chart reviews
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, informatics, or other health-related field required (or equivalent experience)
    • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing and able to practice in Virginia

    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS

    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and various computer software programs
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Demonstrates the agility to adapt to a collaborative-style team approach and works well on teams
    • Highly developed organizational skills
    • Strong decision making skills
    • Maintains confidential information including proprietary information
    • Ability to interact with all people from all levels throughout the organization
    • Self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
    • Appreciation of cultural diversity and sensitivity towards target population
    • Experience in project management

     WORK BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 2 years working in Health Services field
    • Experience working with low income and disadvantage populations
    • Experience in identifying process gaps and opportunity for improvements

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
