    Electronic Data Interchange Specialist – Level I position involves analysis, triage, and solution testing of production issues in EDI systems. The position will coordinate and execute the daily EDI support activities to ensure the delivery of technical services and participate in the fulfillment of customers’ requests.


    • Reconcile daily 837 and 277CA to ensure each 837 is responded with a 277CA.
    • Serve as primary resource supporting all the HIPAA X12 Transactions used in the organization; 837 Claims, 835 Remits, 834 Enrollment, 276/277 Claim Status Request and 270/271 Enrollment Inquiry.
    • Adhere to  Policies and Procedures
    • Conduct problem resolution for supported applications.
    • Create SQL queries that join multiple tables / sources and perform data extraction.
    • Create test scenarios, create test data, validate test cases and document test results.
    • Develop and distribute the standard reports
    • Ensure that the proper deadlines and turnaround times are met.
    • Implementation, configuration, testing and post implementation support.
    • Monitor daily EDI runs and logs to make sure all files process correctly.
    • Pro-active monitoring, incident management, and escalation of issues related to the monitored business processes.
    • Must be available to work evenings and weekends during server upgrade and system maintenance.
    • Provide end user support and consistent service to customers
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.



    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field.


    • Ability to effectively prioritize
    • Customer service
    • Demonstrated experience in developing analysis queries
    • Experience in use of information system resources
    • Familiarity with SQL and relational database concep
    • Highly self-motivated and directed
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SQL Server data tools, SQL server design studio a plus.
    • Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve problems
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Strong written and communication skills
    • Windows Operating Systems: Professional 2000, XP, VISTA, Windows 7 & Server 2003 and 2008


    • Experience with healthcare based claims administration and processing platforms a plus
    • Previous Systems Analyst experience a plus


    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
