    Overview

    This position is responsible for developing an extensive expertise in the financial data systems and major corporate initiatives and projects focusing on analysis and reporting about medical and administrative expenses. Responsible for delegating and approving analyses, supporting the development and testing of processes, and understanding and documenting the applications, data, and associated technologies for supported areas.

     

    The Expense Analytics Manager is responsible for providing support with respect to understanding finances and ensuring decision-makers have insight and empirical evidence to help drive financial decisions.

    Responsibilities

    • Support Director of Financial Analytics in the development and presentation of financial analyses and reporting to support and drive appropriate financial decisions
    • Manage and develop analysts
    • Develop, approve and distribute reports related to multiple product lines and business units as assigned
    • Assist in the analysis and presentation of business opportunities
    • Participate in development and analysis teams with other managers

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Health Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field

    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS

    • Strong analytical and prioritization skills with the ability to manage people and projects
    • Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving and streamlining complex work processes
    • Must be able to perform under pressure and in a very dynamic environment
    • Have a high degree of initiative, motivation and passion for the business
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong strategic management skills
    • Work, direct, and take direction with all levels of management
    • Coaches analysts with completing data analysis using traditional and non-traditional statistical methods
    • Chooses appropriate tools or technology for tasks; improves or redesigns processes, tools, or technologies to determine applicability
    • Consistently shares expertise with others, teaching skills and explaining concepts
    • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex problems

    WORK BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

    • Required: Minimum 2+ years of experience in data analysis and/or report development
    • Preferred: Minimum 1+ years of experience in management

    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
