    Overview

    Great opportunity for a self-starting, goal-oriented individual to help position the organization for long-term strategic growth.  This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining the operations needed to support Strategic Alliances and Partnerships for the organization across all health plan products. 

    The Director of Implementation and Operations leads, directs, and manages all aspects of strategic partnership implementations and ongoing operations. The incumbent implements the strategy by developing and maintaining internal and external relationships to meet project goals

     

    Responsibilities

    • Leads, directs and manages high performing, cross-functional, multi-disciplined operations/implementation teams in launching initiatives with accountability for operations, quality, customer service and success of assigned departments and strategic alliances.
    • Provides day-to-day leadership and management to project teams implementing partnerships.
    • Develops and implements the strategy to operationalize strategic partnerships based on the agreed upon roles and responsibilities as outlined in the contractual arrangement.
    • Develops and manages a team of experienced operational leaders. Attracts, recruits, trains, manages, and retains top talent that is driven toward improvement and capable of meeting organizational goals.
    • Partner with analysts, technology, and digital leaders to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel in order to drive advances for operational excellence and improved customer experiences.
    • Identify and establish relationships with all strategic alliances and partnerships that the organization has entered into across all Health Plan products.
    • Maintains expertise in regulatory requirements across all Health Plan products.
    • Collaborate with VP, Strategic Alliances and Execution to set the strategy for the department and spearhead major initiatives as needed.
    • Works closely with Program leadership to ensure Partnerships are implemented in line with program objectives, goals, and expectations.
    • Review, coordinate, and support contract negotiations for strategic alliances.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or related field.

    WORK BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in health plan operations
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience collaborating with IT and operational areas to include Network Development, Member Operations, Claims Operations and Medical Management for the implementation of strategic business alliances.
    • Minimum of 3 years management experience

    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS

    • Excellent understanding of Federal and State healthcare insurance markets, the HMO concept, and business operations.

    • Excellent oral & written communication skills
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and achieving business goals
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decisions in a matrix operating environment
    • Ability to supervise staffs and promotes successful performance

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
