    Overview

    This position is responsible for managing all Operational Training company training activities. The Training Manager will lead a team of Operational training consultants to deliver training to support business needs. Responsible for coordination and administration of a range of programs and activities related to employee training & employee performance. A key function of this role is to oversee comprehensive operations training.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manages the training team to ensure delivery of team goals and projects
    • Works with business leaders to conduct needs assessments and present training solutions.
    • Ensures Training Consultants develop an in-depth knowledge of the business needs.
    • Works with the Design Manager to ensure training needs for new lines of business are met.
    • Provides comprehensive operations training.
    • Manages and develops the Operations Training Team, ensuring training consultants are able to act as subject matter experts.
    • Evaluates strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals; reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments.
    • Identifies and incorporate best practices and lessons learned into organizational development program plans.
    • Manage the overall workload of the Operational Training Team, inclusive of project assignment and oversight, and work performance and productivity analysis.
    • Identifies individual and collective learning and development needs, and collaborates with the Instructional Design team to strategize and implement learning solutions.
    • Identifies gaps in existing HR & OD policies and contributes to the development of new HR & OD policies and procedures; communicates new/revised policies and procedures to the business areas.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    •  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

    SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS 

    • Strong managerial, and project management experience
    • Able to communicate with and influence others at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to adapt to change and react quickly to changing business needs as well as influence subordinates, peers and business partners.
    • Demonstrated classroom training experience
    • Knowledge of instructional design of training programs
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Good organizational skills
    • Ability to negotiate persuasively required
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team
    • Strong facilitation, design, and development skills
    • Knowledge of and experience in state of the art organizational development tools, both automated and manual, required.
    • Knowledge of Healthcare Administration preferred
    • Knowledge of current human resources, training, and organizational development trends
    • Solid PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Ability to develop and facilitate training
    • Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills

     WORK BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

    • 4-6 years of related experience in various aspects of Organizational Development, Human Resources in health care or operational setting (e.g. clinic, practice, etc.)
    • Experience interfacing with organizational leaders in the development, execution, and evaluation of organizational development programs.

    • Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
